- Carefully remove the seeds from the jalapeño and dice into small pieces. If you prefer a bit more heat, you can leave some of the seeds.
- Combine the jalapeño, garlic, olive oil, and cumin in a small saucepan over medium heat. Sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the entire jar of black beans to the saucepan, without draining. Bring everything to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Salt to taste and cook until heated throughout.
- Serve with cilantro, sprinkled on top.

Omg , that black beans served with rice just reminds me growing up at the farm in Brazil …,it is so delicious the way my mom use to do it too…,very similar to yours… of course not olive oil… it was fat from the pork ( poor thing) I don’t eat nothing from animals… I’m enjoying your recipes…,
