Einkorn Kneading Tool
Our founder, Carla together with her relative Maurizio, created a simple tool that she uses at home to knead most types of einkorn bread without touching the dough. Jovial’s Einkorn Kneading Tool is simple to use- just add the ingredients to a large bowl, and mix the dough as if you were using a large wooden spoon until the water absorbs the flour. Since the hand dough kneader is made from polished stainless steel and has a hole in the middle, it won’t drag in the dough. You can also use the tool to scrape the sides of the bowl. If the dough is stiff, use the tool as much as possible, then cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 15 minutes. During the resting period, the flour will absorb the liquid and become less sticky so you can finish kneading by hand.

Before getting this specific tool, I used dough whisk and spatula to knead the dough. It worked just fine, took a little longer and still did ok. But when this Jovial kneading tool arrived, I didn't wait for the sun to come up, I used it right away and wow, it did wonderful. It literally took 30 seconds to knead the dough. I admit, the handle wasn't too easy to hold but it's not something I would complain about. I'm so pleased with this item.

I’m so glad I finally purchased this tool. It does help in mixing einkorn flour bread dough. I only wish it had a better “gripper handle,” either round or with an attached silicone handle. It’s kind of hard to hold.

The Einkorn Kneading tool works well but it is sharp on the edges and hurts my hands to use. If the edges of the handle were rounded and smooth then I would give it 5 stars.
