Grown on small family farms in Italy, our tomatoes are harvested when very ripe, so they are naturally sweet and delicious with no additives or salt. Tomatoes are packed in glass jars, the purest packaging available, just like home canning of garden tomatoes, but without all the work. Enjoy a great Italian tomato year round!

The Story

It takes two pounds of fresh tomatoes to make one jar of jovial tomatoes so we need a few hundred acres for growing! We’ve partnered with several small, local, organic tomato farmers to meet that demand. Each farm is just a few acres in size, family owned, and a stone’s throw from our canning facility. This close proximity to the facility minimizes transportation time which helps maintain our tomatoes’ sweet, delicious flavor.

    I started buying Jovial tomatoes because they're packed in glass with no sugar or salt added. And I keep buying them because they are consistently fresh tasting and work well in everything from basic stewed tomatoes to spicy chili. I've tried another brand's smaller size jar that is convenient for small batch recipes, but have come back to Jovial for 100% unadulterated tomato flavor; I just strain the tomatoes if needed.

    I love everything about these jars of tomatoes: organic, italian, glass jars (I have friends who have a nickle allergy so they can't use any canned tomatoes - these are perfect!), and they taste great! I use them for almost everything! Will buy again!

    I discovered these tomatoes while shopping for gluten free pasta, which is also excellent, by the way. My husband was recently placed on a low salt diet, so I decided to try them out since they don't have any salt (or sugar!) added. They are far superior to any other no-salt-added tomatoes I have tried, and they taste so fresh that I don't even add salt in my recipes. I made a wonderful pizza sauce with them for a low-sodium pizza with fresh mozzarella and vegetables. We will be buying more!
