The Story of Jovial and Brown Rice

Several years ago, Carla approached a Tuscan pasta factory with the idea of making an organic gluten free pasta with only one ingredient, organic brown rice flour. She also asked that the pasta be pressed with traditional bronze dies, not with the Teflon dies used by today’s large pasta manufacturers. Additionally, the pasta had to be dried at low temperatures. No small feat for gluten free, but she had a hunch that jovial consumers would taste & appreciate the difference.

    Great GF Lasagna Noodles!

    I use these for no bake method. They work well and have great texture in the finished dish. I make sure there is a pretty solid layer of mozzarella to keep the moisture in. Check occasionally to ensure nothing is rising up, above the cheese. Those noodles won't cook properly. I press them down with a knife to pierce them so the air underneath escapes. To your good health!

    Great Lasagna!

    This makes such good lasagna! We don't even boil them ahead of time, just put them in, put in the meat, sauces, cheese, etc and bake it as it says on the box (for unboiled noodles) and it worked wonderfully!

    Organic gluten free brown rice lasagna noodles.

    I made the recipe on the box, split it into two (2) casseroles. And took one to my daughter. It was very good. My husband did not waste any!! Lol
