Now Regenerative Organic Certified! Our Organic Einkorn Wheatberries help build healthy soil, support farm communities, and care for the planet.

We pack our einkorn wheat berries right at the farm where they are grown! Wheat berries are the whole grain or kernel that can be enjoyed like brown rice or farro, and also milled to the freshest whole grain einkorn flour. Einkorn grows inside an outer husk which is carefully cleaned, without polishing or pearling the grain so you are eating 100% of the bran and germ. Einkorn is the first and most ancient variety of wheat that has never been hybridized and is quickly becoming the wheat of choice for the gluten sensitive because of its very weak gluten.

The Story of Jovial and Einkorn

When Carla and Rodolfo had the idea of growing einkorn wheat, there was very little of this grain being cultivated worldwide, so they had to coordinate the farming themselves. Their search led us to this farm, where they had been growing ancient varieties of oats, barley, emmer, lentils, and chick peas for over thirty years. They had never planted einkorn before, and now, only a few years later, we are working together on this project in a perfect partnership committed not only to what we are growing, but how we grow it.

    The absolute BEST!

Baking with these freshly ground wheat berries or even just eating them as a side dish is the most amazing treat... delicious and the most nutritious! And... bonus... no bloating or any tummy issues at all. Jovial's Einkorn wheat berries are truly the best... as God intended for our bodies!

    So delicious!

I make a large batch and freeze smaller portions, so I have a ready-made base for stir-frying with mushrooms or adding to salads or soups. And they don't bother my gluten-sensitive gut! Thanks!

I use this for hot dishes and cold dishes. You can make them a little sweet or savory.

    Wheat berry

Grew up eating wheat out of the field. This has a similar but milder taste. Does not make a chewing gum as easily as regular wheat since the gluten is different. I haven’t ground for flour just eaten as is.
