We pack our einkorn wheat berries right at the farm where they are grown! Wheat berries are the whole grain or kernel that can be enjoyed like brown rice or farro, and also milled to the freshest whole grain einkorn flour. Einkorn grows inside an outer husk which is carefully cleaned, without polishing or pearling the grain so you are eating 100% of the bran and germ. Einkorn is the first and most ancient variety of wheat that has never been hybridized and is quickly becoming the wheat of choice for the gluten sensitive because of its very weak gluten.

The Story of Jovial and Einkorn

When Carla and Rodolfo had the idea of growing einkorn wheat, there was very little of this grain being cultivated worldwide, so they had to coordinate the farming themselves. Their search led us to this farm, where they had been growing ancient varieties of oats, barley, emmer, lentils, and chick peas for over thirty years. They had never planted einkorn before, and now, only a few years later, we are working together on this project in a perfect partnership committed not only to what we are growing, but how we grow it.

    Organic Einkorn Wheat Berries

While I am not gluten sensitive, thanks to you I have been exposed to one of marvels of the ancient world.

In this case, the einkorn wheat berries are my go to ingredient for Tabbouleh. it is so much better taste wise

    than either Bulgar or Quinoa.

    Thank you!
