The Story of Jovial and Brown Rice

Several years ago, Carla approached a Tuscan pasta factory with the idea of making an organic gluten free pasta with only one ingredient, organic brown rice flour. She also asked that the pasta be pressed with traditional bronze dies, not with the Teflon dies used by today’s large pasta manufacturers. Additionally, the pasta had to be dried at low temperatures. No small feat for gluten free, but she had a hunch that jovial consumers would taste & appreciate the difference.

    I purchase the single serving packs of the Jovial penne because they are convenient and I dont have to open a full box. I like the plastic bag container vs the boxes. The Bionaturae strained tomatoes and the Jovial crushed tomatoes are my favs to cook along with the penne. I have never tasted better pasta or sauce! I appreciate the purity of these organic products. A suggestion for Jovial- please manufacture the single serving packs in a bulk box to purchase.

    I don't travel without these little packs of gluten free pasta .They are really handy. I think this pasta has a terrific texture and taste.
