The Story of Jovial and Brown Rice

Several years ago, Carla approached a Tuscan pasta factory with the idea of making an organic gluten free pasta with only one ingredient, organic brown rice flour. She also asked that the pasta be pressed with traditional bronze dies, not with the Teflon dies used by today’s large pasta manufacturers. Additionally, the pasta had to be dried at low temperatures. No small feat for gluten free, but she had a hunch that jovial consumers would taste & appreciate the difference.

    My kids love it

    I made this pasta for my kids and they loved it. It didnt fall apart like other pasta types. Great with sauce!!

    Yeah....just GOOD

    I made Lasagna Soup and had to break up the noodles I had in my pantry - that wasn't the greatest experience they were so hard and sharp. Then I was shopping on your site and saw these and bought a box. I made the Lasagna Soup with these instead because to me they look like tiny lasagna noodles and they were perfect and taste so good too!! I'm very happy with all my Jovial products!!!

    Lasagna Soup with Mafalda pasta

    I used the Mafalda pastas to make the recipe for lasagna soup. Great recipe and interesting pasta.

    You must make this recipe during winter…very hardy soup for cold days!
