The Story of Jovial and Brown Rice

Several years ago, Carla approached a Tuscan pasta factory with the idea of making an organic gluten free pasta with only one ingredient, organic brown rice flour. She also asked that the pasta be pressed with traditional bronze dies, not with the Teflon dies used by today’s large pasta manufacturers. Additionally, the pasta had to be dried at low temperatures. No small feat for gluten free, but she had a hunch that jovial consumers would taste & appreciate the difference.

    I buy this for my son who has a very severe wheat allergy. We have tried what seems like dozens of different gluten free pastas. Jovial Mac and cheese is his all time favorite quick dish. He has it as a snack or as the base of a main dish.

    This is the best gluten free Mac and cheese I've ever had BY FAR. All of Jovial's gluten free pasta products are superior to other brands and the Mac and cheese is no exception. The texture is perfect el dente (even my gluten eating fiancé loves it) and the cheese sauce is delicious. Also a nice portion. LOVE this Mac! As a Mac and cheese lover that had to stop eating gluten I'm incredibly grateful for this product!

    Award winning'???? I've been gluten free for about 12yrs and this is not good Mac and cheese. There isn't enough sauce to ratio of pasta. And the sauce doesn't mix well or thicken. It was like eating wet pasta. The pasta needs to be cooked a bit longer than instructions suggest. Flavor was alright. Thanks for making a DF/GF pasta but please keep improving!
