The Story of Jovial and Brown Rice

Several years ago, Carla approached a Tuscan pasta factory with the idea of making an organic gluten free pasta with only one ingredient, organic brown rice flour. She also asked that the pasta be pressed with traditional bronze dies, not with the Teflon dies used by today’s large pasta manufacturers. Additionally, the pasta had to be dried at low temperatures. No small feat for gluten free, but she had a hunch that jovial consumers would taste & appreciate the difference.

    I am super happy to have found these shells. I can finally make a soup and cook the noodles in the soup. They hold together and taste great, which is rare for us Celiac sufferers. I bought ten boxes! Thank you so much Jovial, for making me feel like I'm not missing out on minestrone!

    I have been gluten free for 12 years and have tried many, many

    gluten free pastas and not been pleased. Then I found Jovial and could not believe how wonderful they are. They are actually better than wheat pasta because they are made with rice so they are much lighter and the texture is perfect. I especially love the shells. They are like little spoons that cradle the sauce.

    The noodles are delicious, they make me not even miss the wheat based ones. They're my favorite gluten free noodle type and they are a great value compared to other brands.
