Crispy Cannellini Beans

Ingredients

With a sprinkle of thyme, lemon juice, and our Extra Virgin Olive Oil, these Crispy Cannellini Beans are perfect as a topping for salad or as a tasty high-protein snack!

As with all simple recipes, using quality ingredients is important, which is why we recommend our 100% Organic Cannellini Beans. They’re prepared the traditional way, soaked overnight and cooked with just a touch of Sicilian sea salt. They’re also packed into glass jars without additives or preservatives, so that they taste as pure as can be!

Instructions

  • Preheat an oven to 400° F.
  • Drain the beans into a mesh strainer and rinse well under running water. Drain and pat them dry with a paper towel or clean kitchen towel.
  • Place the beans in a bowl along with the olive oil, thyme, lemon zest and salt. Toss, coating all the beans.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread the beans onto it evenly, then place it in the oven.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, stirring the beans around after 10 minutes to evenly cook them. If the beans are not as crispy as desired after this time, continue baking, checking at intervals of 5 minutes for desired crispiness and to make sure they do not burn.
  • Enjoy as a topping for salad or as a tasty high-protein snack.
