The Story of Jovial and Brown Rice

Several years ago, Carla approached a Tuscan pasta factory with the idea of making an organic gluten free pasta with only one ingredient, organic brown rice flour. She also asked that the pasta be pressed with traditional bronze dies, not with the Teflon dies used by today’s large pasta manufacturers. Additionally, the pasta had to be dried at low temperatures. No small feat for gluten free, but she had a hunch that jovial consumers would taste & appreciate the difference.

    Absolutely the best GF noodles I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Taste and texture is spot on and couldn't tell the difference from traditional noodles. Jovial Foods, you are knocking it out of the park!

    Will not buy again. While the taste was good, I followed the package instructions exactly as I do for all GF products and all the noodles fell apart instantly. More like shreds of pasta noodles. It was also expensive. Unfortunate.

    I thought I knew what good gluten free noodles were….until I tried these.

    These are perfection.

    I agree with other reviewers, the egg takes the flavor and texture to another level. BETTER THAN ANY TRADITIONAL EGG NOODLE OR PASTA, I HAVE EVER HAD.

    Why not put egg into the recipe of other gluten free noodles?

    Just a note on how I prepare: After cooking I drain, fill the pot with cold water slosh around to stop the noodles from cooking, drain, splash around some olive oil and stir around, to prevent noodles from ever sticking.

    Absolutely love these egg noodles. They don't get ‘slimy' like other brands after boiling. And are harder to find in the stores, but available online.
