Made from nature's original wheat, einkorn has remained untouched by modern hybridization and large-scale agriculture for 12,000 years. Einkorn is fast becoming the wheat of choice for the gluten sensitive due to its very weak gluten. All Purpose is a high-extraction, lighter flour that has had 20% of the bran and germ removed after milling and will stay fresh longer. Bake beautiful bread, cakes, muffins, and cookies with Jovial's Organic Einkorn Flour—it’s much easier to work with than gluten free flour.

The Story of Jovial and Einkorn

When Carla and Rodolfo had the idea of growing einkorn wheat, there was very little of this grain being cultivated worldwide, so they had to coordinate the farming themselves. Their search led us to this farm, where they had been growing ancient varieties of oats, barley, emmer, lentils, and chick peas for over thirty years. They had never planted einkorn before, and now, only a few years later, we are working together on this project in a perfect partnership committed not only to what we are growing, but how we grow it.

    10 lb. bag is the perfect size for a beginning bread baker!

    I am learning how to bake bread with Einkorn flour, and the 10 lb. flour bag is a perfect size for me to work with. Enough quantity so I don't run out. And, I've had enough on hand to experiment with baking chocolate chip cookies with it too! I order two at a time. Photo is of my first Classic French Bread Loaf. I used the Jovial Cookbook too!

    Delicious!

    I’m new to bread baking and find the organic einkorn all purpose flour so easy to work with. My successes include the Two Hour Dairy Free Sandwich Loaf and the No-Knead Overnight Artisan Loaf. Definitely recommend!

    Perfect Flour

    The only flour we use in my house. The einkorn cookbook explains the nuances of einkorn. Einkorn is a different animal for sure but knowing they spray a chemical wax on ALL store bought breads to make them last for weeks, convinced me that making your own and only using non-hybredized organic einkorn from jovial is the only way to go!

    Wonderful bread from this flour. I cannot believe I did it!

    I made the Boule from the Einkorn recipe book. Wow!! It looks and tastes amazing. It is such a joy to make. I call it Bible bread. It only has flour, water and salt as ingredients, the way bread was intended to be.

    It looks amazing. The color of the red has a pale yellow tone to it and it’s crumb is great.

    I have not baked before and I’m proud that I was able to make something like this by my own hands.

    After my initial success, I tried the braided egg bread.

    Who knew I was a baker! It came out beautiful and my family loves it.

    I keep my starter lively and I make a couple of loaves per week. I I cut the loaves into thirds and then I freeze them so I can pull one out to defrost as needed.

    I feel very good feeding my family this heirloom grain made with the best quality ingredients.

    A winner for sure. I’m going to try to make the iron corn sourdough crackers next from the recipe book.

    This was my first experience with buying einkorn AP flour and I wasn’t disappointed. The flavor was fresh and nutty. Baked goods came out a beautiful yellow color.
