We make our cannellini beans the traditional way! Soaked overnight and cooked with a touch of Sicilian sea salt, our beans are naturally cooked to perfection. Our Italian varieties of beans and our hands-on cooking process produce a firm and delicious bean that is suitable for any recipe. If you love beans, but don’t have time to prepare them the traditional way, we’re happy to do the work for you.

The Story

We love to work in Italy because our manufacturers are large enough to supply our market, but small enough to still do things the right way, even if it means the involvement of many hands. Our beans are grown on small, organic farms in the Piemonte region of Italy. They are sorted by hand before being soaked for 24 hours. Then they are rinsed with fresh water and cooked. The jars are filled with the cooked beans, water and a bit of salt is added, then the jars are sealed and sterilized. Once the beans are cooled and the jars are wiped down, the labels are applied and the product is packed up to ship.

Mush. Tried to pour them into a strainer to rinse them and they were all compacted and visibly overcooked and mushy. Had to get a spoon to dig them out which mutilated them even further. They were like oatmeal texture with like ten beans left with any shape. Horrible.

The organic cannellini beans in a jar are excellent! How long does an opened jar last in the refrigerator?

I can eat beans again! What!!??

I have to say, the first meal, I rinsed the beans, but they are so good, not salty, no junk, now I just grab them from the fridge and eat out of the jar! I've never eaten beans without regret, so I just stopped eating them. Recently returned to a fully plant based diet, and when you do not eat any of the highly processed foods, fake meats, and junk, beans really need to be a part of your life. I'm a happy girl! Thank you jovial…these are just amazing. Making a chickpea salad tomorrow! How about some black bean brownies…yes please!!!

Jovial beans in a glass jar are superior to any other brand. Beans in a can have a funky odor. These do not. I could eat cannellini beans every day of the year~their smooth, creamy texture invites almost any other ingredient in. They can be added to soup, salad, made into hummus, or just heated and seasoned as you wish. So delicious and nourishing! I am a vegetarian, and the protein in cannellini gives me the strength I need. Long live Jovial!

Delicious. Much better than in the can. Once jar opened. How long will they last?
