Baked Brie with Apricot Fruit Spread

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie, 8 oz round
  • ½ cup Bionaturae Apricot Fruit Spread (or flavor of your choice)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup pistachios, chopped finely
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon Brandy (optional)
  • 1 pear, chopped into tiny cubes
  • Jovial Einkorn Sourdough Crackers for dipping

The natural sweetness of our fruit spread perfectly complements creamy cheeses like Brie, while fresh pears, toasted pistachios, and a hint of rosemary add texture and flavor to every bite. Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, add the apricot fruit spread, brown sugar, pistachios, rosemary, a pinch of salt and brandy. Mix and set aside.
  3. Next, remove a thin layer off the top of the brie, keeping the sides intact. 
  4. Place the brie in an oven-safe pan. I use a small ceramic dish with a cover.
  5. Top the brie with a generous layer of the apricot mix.
  6. Top with the pears and another layer of the apricot mixture.
  7. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
