How to make cinnamon-sugar roasted chickpeas
This delicious snack is really easy to make and takes only four simple ingredients. First, air dry your chickpeas and remove any loose skins. Bake the chickpeas for 15 minutes on a parchment lined baking sheet at 400° F. Toss the chickpeas with olive oil, sugar and cinnamon and then return to the oven for another 15-17 minutes. The cinnamon-sugar roasted chickpeas should be golden brown and crunchy.
Why jovial chickpeas?
Chickpeas are a great natural source of fiber and protein without the saturated fat, so they’re really great for guilt-free snacking. Our chickpeas are 100% organic, and contain no preservatives or additives, just a touch of Sicilian sea salt. A product of Italy, they’re soaked overnight, pressure-cooked and ready to eat.
Spread chickpeas out on a dry, clean towel and allow to air dry for 30 minutes. You want to be sure your chickpeas are completely dry before roasting. Remove any loose skins.
Preheat the oven to 400° F. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Place chickpeas on prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven and toss the chickpeas with olive oil, sugar and cinnamon.
Bake for an additional 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown and crunchy.
Store chickpeas in a dry, airtight container but aim to enjoy them within one day of baking.
