Perfect for dipping tortilla chips and veggies, this Black Bean Dip recipe combines our 100% Organic Black Beans with traditional flavors of ...garlic, jalapeños, and cumin—plus a twist: mango, tomato, and corn tossed in at the end for an extra level of flavor and texture.

We recommend using an immersion blender to make this dip extra smooth and creamy, but this recipe also comes together well in a food processor.

Black Bean Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 jar jovial Black Beans, drained
  • 3 tablespoons jovial Extra Virgin Olive Oil, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 or 2 jalapeños
  • ¼ cup goat cheese
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 small tomato (½ cup chopped)
  • ½ mango (½ cup chopped)
  • ½ cup corn
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop the garlic, jalapeño, and onion.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan, once hot add the chopped ingredients and stir fry for about 3 minutes (until onion is softened, making sure not to burn the garlic)
  3. In an immersion blender, combine the beans, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, goat cheese, garlic, jalapeño, onion, lime juice, cumin powder, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth. (You may also use a food processor to combine, but this recipe comes out more smoothly with an immersion blender!)
  4. Chop the mango and tomato into bite-sized pieces, combine with blended mixture along with the corn and chopped fresh cilantro (I recommend keeping some of the fresh ingredients aside to use as a garnish). Serve chilled with tortilla chips.
