Everyone needs quick and easy pasta recipes made with simple ingredients. Here is one we love that uses our brown rice tagliatelle and is served with vegetables and, well, cheese! Best of all, you can make the sauce in the time it takes to boil the water and cook the pasta. The grated Pecorino cheese thickens the cream sauce, so there is no need to be intimidated by a roux!

Tagliatelle with Creamy Broccoli & Peas

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large skillet, combine the broccoli, butter, olive oil, garlic, and salt to taste.
  2. Place the skillet on the stove and cook on medium-low heat for 4 minutes, stirring frequently. Add a few tablespoons of water, as needed, to ensure the broccoli does not burn.
  3. Add the cream and the peas to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Turn off heat and mix in the cheese and the dill or mint.
  5. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  6. Drain the pasta.
  7. Add the pasta to the skillet and toss with the sauce.
  8. Serve with grated Pecorino Romano cheese.
