Easy 100% Whole Wheat Bread

  • 1- 16 oz. box (454g) jovial einkorn wheat berries
  • 1 ½ (350g) cups water
  • ½ tsp. (3g) sea salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. (7g) dry active yeast
  • 2 tbsp. (28g) honey


  1. Grind berries to flour. Combine warm water, yeast & honey. Let stand 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine flour & salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and mix with a spatula. The dough will be like a thick bran muffin batter.
  4. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Stir batter well, then pour in oiled 8” x 4” loaf pan.
  6. Smooth the surface with a wet spatula.
  7. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 35-40 minutes.
